Name: Pamela Lillian Isley ♥ Poison Ivy.
Series: Batman. Specifically the cartoonverse with some references to the comic and yes, the failtastic movie.
Original or Template: Original.

Age: Late twenties – early thirties. (Batman: TAS listed her as 28 years old in her first appearance, Batman: Gotham Knights is presumably a few years after that).
Gender: Female.
Species: Meta-human (specifically genetically-engineered). She had been experimented on and transformed into her current state. Some may call her a human-plant hybrid because she exhibits characteristics that are related to plants. That is, she needs carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight as opposed to oxygen and animal proteins like humans need. Not to say that she won't eat such things, but she prefers an extreme vegan diet if she has to eat outside what a normal plant would. In some cases, she can be cut off from food and sunlight, for so long as she has a connection to the Earth; she'll be able to survive as the Earth protects her.
Sexuality: Bisexual(?). Hard to actually say with Poison Ivy. She does not seem to actually love any one sex and while she does spend most of her time seducing men – that is just in her plan to use them as part of her plans. It really is all based in manipulation, like in her cartoonverse relationship with Harvey Dent. In many cases, it would seem like she actually has a great hatred for men. The only real canon base to say that she likes them would be her <s>campy-as-hell</s> movie-version falling in love with Mr. Freeze.

As far as interest in women go, in HUSH, Riddler mentions that Poison Ivy a fixation on Catwoman, which could be taken that she thinks she's hot-stuff or just wants to mess with the woman's mind. Still, every single version seems to have some affection for the character Harley Quinn. They have a very platonic friendship. Though, there are constant splash pages of the two hugging one another and one of Ivy holding mistletoe over Quinn's head. That could just be for moe-factor as never in the comics are they seen making-out. She did kiss Supergirl but that was to poison her with her toxin rather than for any other purpose.
Marital Status: Single.
Marked: Yes.
A crown on the arch of her right foot.

appearance;

Either described to look something like a wood nymph or have a goddess beauty to her (think it is up for the players to decide what their characters would call her as rather rude to say, this character is hot and everyone wants her, haha. Even if canonly she's listed as some awesome goddess of sex and pretty, wanna make it clear that that's not gonna be forced on other characters. Maybe a character thinks she's fucking ugly. Who cares if that goes against her canon of being gorgeous? Calling her pretty is a matter of opinion and godmoding characters to say that she is, is just that – godmodding. Done ranting).

A redhead. Her hair either appears excessively curled or straight. When it is straight, it sits somewhere around the small of her back, but in its curled state, it sets in relatively the same place just the volume of her hair increases – naturally. She has green eyes, but some canon states that the whites of her eyes turn slightly red when she is infuriated. But, she would have to be extremely pissed for that to happen. Leaves and other such decoration fit in her hair and in some cases act as earrings.

Average height (5'6") for a woman and is fairly thin (but what DC girl isn't? At least, they aren't like noodles, looking at you Code Geass). Her blood has said to have been replaced by chloroplast which gives her skin the green look that it has. However, in some cases, they say that her skin looks more like a pale-white or off-skin color. As for the color of her lips, they say that they are either green or black. This could be the lipstick that she uses as her lipstick is coated with a special toxin (for any occasion) rather than what the actual color is, however.

As for her outfit, she is said to be wearing a strapless-swimsuit, which may or may not denote to the fact that she is a good, strong swimmer. Usually, it either is a green swimming suit or it is leaves in the shape of a swimming suit around her body. Regardless, leaves and other vines adorn it. In reference to that, she has a fairly athletic-shaped body. Enough tone to her that one can tell that she has muscle behind her, but not so ripped that she looses her feminine shape. As far as shoes go, she is either barefoot or wearing elf-shoes. For the sake of her dignity, she is going to always be barefoot. If this hurts her feet, she never seems to give any indication of such.

personality;

She has what some would call a very strong front. Her words are a lot more venomous (no pun intended, promise) than they are sweet. She doesn't really mince words as much as others would and seems to speak fairly frankly rather than not. More often than naught, she would point out the mistakes that others not as scientifically or logically based as she is for the sake of pointing out their stupidity for laughs or simply to correct them. It does not seem that she has much patience for foolishness of others and has less of a liking of men. But overall, she's not the openly trusting type, but that doesn't mean she can't pretend to be nice or even play nice with others if the situation calls.

That is not to say that she won't use them for her own personal gain, but she has been quoted more than once calling men to be thoughtless and stupid. But, she can be sweet when she wishes to be; that is when she is trying to manipulate men who don't know who she is. She speaks what can be considered a seductive tone and tries to up her feminine qualities. Mentioned before that she is more masculine in personality than naught, she does know how to act like a woman in order to get what she wants. Honestly, she thinks that she is pretty hot-stuff and says that no man or woman could resist her.

Still, she does have a joking, girly side about her. There is a part of her that is still very feminine that shows itself by teasing people in a manner that is not meant to be seen negatively. In those moments, she doesn't mean any harm with comments, even if she is only saying such for her own amusement. If she really wished to be a bitch, as previously stated, she could be one. But she would be the first to admit that sometimes it is hard to differentiate the mean from the sweet comments. Not unless you know her. She also does scream if she's scared but tries to cover up her fright and nerves by making some snide comment afterwards. Either way, this shows that she is not as apathetic – or quite as tough as nails – as she would like to come off as.

She likes plants and all variations that there of; her scientific profession before her transformation was, after all, Botany. Because of her love of them, she calls herself an eco-warrior. That is, she has a distinct hatred for anyone who would try to bring harm to any form of greenery (e.g. wetlands, rainforests, Christmas trees – no, seriously). Often, she tries to kill these people or bring them severe harm for 'their crimes.' But occasionally, she does ignore them for a time. In some ways, she considers herself to be more a plant than a human. Yet, despite that, she still has a human side.

In her relationship with Harley Quinn, for example, she has a great dislike for the Joker purely because of the way that he treats her friend. She can be considered motherly in her own way as she will stick up for Harley when no one else will. Such as when someone starts berating the clown girl, Ivy has been known to step in and handle the argument for her. Often times, Ivy covers up any negative thoughts that people have for Harley; like when Harley is acting in a rather foolish manner. Usually, the comments sound fairly backhanded, but she does mean what she says. So, she can be motherly but only to certain few.

ability;

Chlorokinesis. She has the ability to control plants because of the semi-mystical connection to plant-life known as the Green. In some cases, she genetically engineers her own plants which have the appearance of sentient thought. Not only that but she is an expert in Botany; specializing in creating new plant/animal hybrids. In Gotham Knights: Girls' Night Out, the garden elephant that she had grown was able to uproot itself and attack Supergirl with the strength of a real elephant.

She even is able to make humans out of her plants, but they usually turn back to plants after a short amount of time. Just touching plants allows her to take control over them – need it be their growth cycle, or making them into deadly weapons. She needs to keep touching them for it to work. Only those she's bled upon or engineered can act on their own. And they need a lot of blood to do so. Her hand may take several hours to heal and by then, she needs to be rested because of the blood loss.

And so, she is able to animate plants in an area to carry out any little whim that she may have. That is, they actually talk to her – nonsensical twisting of branches and vines as a warning her when people are coming or actually sitting and talking to them. Not to mention, she can create a perfume-based pheromone as a means of attracting only the male sex for manipulation purposes.

Enhanced strength. More or less, superhuman strength. It has been demonstrated in the comics as not up to par with say Superman, but able to give a normal human a few broken bones.

Toxic Immunity. She is immune to all toxins, bacteria, and viruses. This means that she is also immune to the Joker's venom as well. This also accounts for her hyperactive immune system that has prevented her to have children. Either way, this allows her to live in areas that others would not dare to as hideouts (e.g. toxic waste dumps). Also is an expert in toxicology. This allowed her to create lipsticks that have a variety number of poisons laced into them; from near-fatal neurotoxins to mind-controlling venom. For the mind-controlling venom, it only lasts for a couple of hours but can be reapplied at any time. Unfortunately, it can only be used on men; it has no affect on women.

Weaknesses: Plant-like characteristics. Fire and ice. Though, anyone set on fire or frozen would suffer some effects of it, but it would be more effective against her to cool down or heat up an area to a temperature that would be "unhealthy" for a plant. Ingesting too much salt – or force-fed such quantities – and kept out of the sunlight can also weaken her abilities considerably. Weed-killer and mixture of salt being thrown at her also has a way of bringing her great pain. It weakens her faster than simply keeping her out of the sunlight and depriving her of carbon dioxide. Speaking of, because of her need for carbon dioxide, she always needs to be around people or else she would suffocate. Ironic that someone who hates people so much would die without them.

Love of plants and children. Because of her transformation, it made it impossible for her to bear any children. This is why she is quite obsessed with her plants as those have become her children and she coddles them in a manner like any mother would. If they were threatened in any way, she would most likely give herself up rather than have them suffer. In that same manner, she tends to drop all that she is doing in a fight to save them if it seems as though they are in danger (e.g. garden on fire, leaving a fight to turn on the sprinklers and giving opponent chance to attack). She does have a soft-spot for actual children as well. Specifically orphans. Spoiled brats need not apply.

Sanity. Unlike her other cohorts, Ivy seems to have a firmer grip on reality than say Harley Quinn or Two-Face. This puts her at a disadvantage, because unlike those who can ignore the dangers that are presented in an obviously mad errand; she is actually aware of how bad things could turn out for her. In some cases, she would simply run than deal with the consequences. This makes her actions a little more predictable than the others and as such, one can figure out a way to subdue her faster than say the Joker. She is simply not loose cannon, but that doesn't mean that she's not unbalanced in her own way.

Low dexterity. Despite the fact that she does have enhanced strength, it seems like that did not give her enhanced endurance. In one instance, she was able to be knocked out with just one punch. She does not seem to do well in hand-to-hand combats overall and in the few instances that she was forced into them, she lost. Usually, she has her plants come into the fight to give her some sort of edge over her faster, stronger opponent. It doesn't matter if her strength has been increased if she can't land a single blow, after all.

history;

It is said that Ivy grew up a fairly privileged life. She did not seem to have to worry too much about money and whatnot. Her feelings towards her parents were not strained by any sort of family conflict, but they were very emotionally distant. So while she may have loved them, it was around the same care that one would have for an acquaintance or a friend. Still, she had a great love for plants and the earth even before her transformation into Poison Ivy. She wasn't a violent individual who stood out in marches like some tree-huggers. No, she tried to find nonviolent methods in dealing with those that threatened the environment – like petitions.

Naturally, she was ignored. She did not give up the fight and even continued well into college. Meeting a Doctor Jason Woodroe, she joined with him in being his intern and so learned more about biology and other such science. She thought that she had met a kindred spirit that would be willing to help the environment. Unfortunately, she only realized too late that he actually just wanted to experiment some of his poisons out on her body – to see how they would react with a live test subject. She nearly dies from the poisoning and Doctor Woodroe fled from authorities; leaving her to die in the hospital.

When she awoke, she later recalls that she was not mad. She did not want revenge from Woodroe for what he had done to her. In fact, she felt glad. He had reconnected her to her roots, so to speak, and allowed her to communicate with the plants and surroundings that she loved so much in a way that she could only have hoped for before. However, she unfortunately came across those businesses that were wishing to tear down the forests that she had begun living in. She could hear the screaming of the trees and plants and couldn't stand it. It perhaps was that that drove her to wish to protect them as venomously as she had, because the pain that they experienced felt as though it echoed back within her.

Around this revelation, she came across Harvey Dent who had decided with the funding of the Wayne Corporation to pave over a landfill in order to build a new prison, for justice. Ivy was not impressed and took it upon herself to take a plant from said landfill that was known for being quite poisonous. It was five years later that she met up with Harvey. She had to wait this long for said plant to grow instinct; that meant that she had the only antidote to it. After all, Ivy couldn't allow Harvey Dent to be healed so quickly.

And so, she set her plan into motion. Using pheromones, she seduced Dent into first being her boyfriend then her fiancée. It was shortly after the proposal that she poisoned him. Unfortunately, Batman became aware of her plot and stopped her – locking her in Arkham with her flowers. The two continued this dance for months on end. She had almost killed Batman with pumpkin-bombs on Halloween, but ended up setting fire to her garden instead. This left her devastated over the pain that she had accidentally inflicted and allowed Batman to take her into custody with little complaint.

Later, she would meet with Harley Quinn. The clown girl is perhaps the only person that Ivy is even remotely nice to in Gotham. She met with Harley when she was robbing a museum, trying to preserve precious poisons from it. Her soon to be friend had been stealing a diamond from the same museum when Ivy accidentally set off the alarms. It was Harley that saved Ivy from being arrested again and the two of them drove off to her hideout in a toxic dump.

Once there, Ivy gave Quinn a shot of antidote to her poisons as well as any other poison that should come in contact with her new friend. What she didn't realize in doing so was that it gave Quinn super strength and agility. Not enough to keep Superman awake at night, but enough to be a bigger threat to others. And so, their alliance was formed where Ivy promised to teach her how to be a little more assertive with men. They robbed quite a few places together and it was only because of the interference of the Joker – alerted to their hideout accidentally by Harley – that they were all sent back to Arkham.

The two team up quite a bit in the future. Handling various plants, dealing with Ivy's mood swings, Joker being his usual abusive self to Harley, and of course, Batman. Still, they remained best friends. Not something that Ivy would actually admit to, but it is obvious that they are friends. The only other time that she worked with others that can be named would be the time that she worked with Hush. She was manipulated into using Catwoman against Batman, but got some personal gain out of it by taking whatever money that Catwoman acquired during this time.

She even was able to take control of Superman in order to keep both Catwoman and Batman at bay when her toxin finally worked its way out of the former's body. Unfortunately, Batman was able to break Ivy's control over Superman and the trio went to take her down – once more sent back to Arkham. The last that was seen of Ivy, however, was when she tried to use her humanoid plants to take the vast fortunes of various millionaires. She had sent them all on a cruise and was going to sink the ship in the ocean. Unfortunately, she ended up going down with it instead.
